September’s headliners are South West blackened death metal force Death Brigade. Only months after forming, they secured a place on Bloodstock Open Air 2026’s New Blood Stage – a dream outcome for a band already winning over the local heavy scene. Expect a ruthless closing set from a band arriving with real momentum. Blood, guts, glory.

Birmingham’s In Absentia were formed in 2025 by Ollie, Kieran, Adam and Harvi, and already bring a dynamic live show built from metal’s heaviest and most cinematic corners. Brutal screams, soaring clean vocals and symphonic pieces collide in a sound that is unmistakably their own. With three singles and debut EP Side Effects of Self-Reflection already earning a strong reception, catch a new band moving fast.

Cornish punk rock four-piece Memories From Tomorrow have spent the last five years in the South West scene, supporting regional rock and punk bands while putting on DIY shows for original artists. Jay Burleigh and Dan Murray share vocals and guitars, with Jason Roskilly on bass and Sam Smith on drums. Their DIY mindset runs through a sound that takes in classic rock, pop punk and old-school punk – built for catchy tunes, live rooms and having a good time.

Cornwall three-piece Longtide came together through a shared love of music and a determination to make something of their own. Dan Clarke, Drew Hopkins and Barry Johnson weave intricate vocals through hefty bass lines and jagged guitar work, drawing equally on acoustic lows and jarring riffs. BBC Music Introducing selected both their demo track Hurricane and debut single Sleeping Giant for airplay in the UK and worldwide. Arrive early: this is how September starts.
