Hailing from the weathered shores of Plymouth, UK, War Shepherd is a five-piece melodic death metal outfit that blends thrash-fueled aggression with epic, soaring harmonies.
Formed in 2022, the band quickly made waves in the South West’s heavy music scene with their technically flawless live shows and their critically acclaimed 2023 sci-fi concept debut, Act I: Atrocities Beneath A Blue Star. Drawing inspiration from genre titans like Arch Enemy, In Flames, and Insomnium, War Shepherd crafts a colossal soundscape: think gut-punching riffs, militaristic rhythms, and atmospheric, symphonic edges.
Now, they have returned stronger than ever. Armed with a refreshed, powerhouse lineup and renewed fire, War Shepherd stormed into 2026 with their blistering new EP, Shattered Thrones Part 1: The Red Pages. Fusing their trademark melodic hooks with crushing death metal intensity and dark thematic storytelling, this new chapter proves the Plymouth 5 piece isn’t just back—they’re ready to conquer.
