Description

KING CREATURE SUPPORTED BY HOLD THE SUN | THURSDAY 2ND APRIL – DOORS 7PM

Both bands  are East Cornwall heavyweights & will be playing a stripped back set, don’t miss the chance to get up close and personal with the heavy metal and grunge metal rockers in the intimate setting of The Arborist Cafe.

Hailing from Cornwall, King Creature are Dave Kellaway on bass and lead vocals, Matt K Vincent on lead guitar, Mike Stennett on lead guitar and Jack Bassett on drums. They formed in 2013 and released their debut self-titled EP in 2014.

Likened by many to Black Label Society, Pantera and Alice in Chains, King Creature’s powerful sound comes from the pairing of two technically-gifted lead guitarists, a heavy groove-based rhythm section and melodic old school dirty rock vocals.

Their high-energy live performances have blown away audiences across the South West and their national reputation has grown as result.

In 2014 they played at Bloodstock in Derbyshire, the UK’s biggest independent metal festival, alongside Down, Emperor, Megadeth, Hellyeah and Saxon. 2015 continued to see the band go from strength to strength, playing to over 3000 people at the Eden Project whilst supporting Motorhead in June and also playing Hard Rock Hell festival in Wales.

Continuing to impress and ignite at every gig they play, These boys play it hard and play it loud!

HOLD THE SUN

Hold The Sun is an explosive three-piece alternative rock band known for their high-energy live shows, heavy-hitting grunge sound, and massive three-part vocal harmonies.

Blending dirty, driving guitar riffs with dynamic rhythms and alt-rock swagger, they deliver a sound that hooks you from the first chord.

With notable appearances at festivals like Boardmasters and Looe Music Festival under their belts, Hold The Sun guarantees a powerhouse, sweat-drenched performance.
